Mothers’ Day Appeal for Ukraine

The support from the United Kingdom for the Ukranian refugees has been immense, with many essential supplies shipped to the continent. The next thing we need to do is to fund raise to help to restore some normality to their shattered lives.

The 5 churches* based in Horncastle are appealing for financial donations over Mothering Sunday weekend 26/27 March.  We believe the best way of getting the appropriate help where it is most needed is to donate to the Disaster Emergency Committee.  This local appeal is meant to allow the people of Horncastle to be able to donate money easily.

With this in mind, we invite you to support our Mothers’ Day Appeal in one of the following ways:

• By making a donation at any one of the participating Horncastle Shops or Businesses or Horncastle Library by Saturday 26 March
• By making a donation at one of the town’s church services by Sunday 27 March
• By sending a cheque made payable to “PCC of Mary’s Horncastle” to:
  Church Office, Church Lane, Horncastle, LN9 5HW
  (please indicate on the back of the cheque that it is for the Ukraine appeal)
• By a BACS transfer payment to “PCC of St. Mary’s Horncastle” sort code 40-24-29 account number 71277413.
  Put “Ukraine” in the reference box.
